The general glazing conditions for insulating double glazing and laminated safety glass also apply to bent glass. Glazing grooves must be constructed in such a way that they respect the permitted maximum tolerances, do not transfer any additional compressive or bending stress to the glass. Direct contact between glass and metal must not be allowed.
The width of the glazing groove should be designed according to the formula: L = E + thickness. of the strongest component + 8 mm. For easier glazing, the glazing bar should be on the convex side.
